Hamas and Palestine
We all cheered for Hamas’s winning the recent elections in Palestine. The important thing isn’t that Hamas won the authority, yet the importance is that the Palestinian people excelled in choosing who represents them, their interests and ambitions.
These people became tired of those who make use of their positions to fulfill their own desires and build villas!
The Palestinians are in dire need for the people who are as pure as the driven snow to have the authority on economy and rule. It is well known that people who choose “Islamists” like in Turkey and Egypt are in want for leaders who steal not.
We cheered for this success though concerns that Hamas may fall in great political entrapments like admitting the Israeli existence over the lands of Palestine, and not to cease fighting as a kind of truce whether short or long –term truce. We hope that Hamas proves to be capable of taking the responsibility, which is undoubtedly a painstaking one, we hope that Hamas would not allow treacherous to exist among them, like that when they claimed alliance with the “Bateniyon” who are certainly known of wanting no good for the nation, all they possess is malice and shrines (to seek bless in). This would be a key for invading the nation, bribe people then leading them astray. So what would be the importance of restoring the land while losing faith ? or if policy and religion clashed. Thereupon, religion must supercede policy. There is a lesson in the story of Musa (Moses) –peace be upon him- with his brother Harun (Aaron)- peace be upon him- when Musa blamed his brother for leaving the children of Israel worship the calf, Harun replied that he was afraid that Musa may say you caused separation between the Children of Israel, yet , Musa –peace be upon him- didn’t gave him excuse as monotheism is more important than causing separation among the Children of Israel. The Qur’an says, (that could be translated as)
92. [Mûsa (Moses)] said: “O Hârûn (Aaron)! What stopped you when you saw them going astray;
93. “That you followed me not (according to my advice to you)? Have you then disobeyed my order?”
94. He [Hârûn (Aaron)] said: “O son of my mother! Seize (me) not by my beard, nor by my head! Verily, I feared lest you should say: ‘You have caused a division among the Children of Israel, and you have not respected my word!’ ” (Ta-Ha:92-94)
What is taking place now in Iraq is not just a disaster or misery , yet it is mere brutality brings to our mind what happened before in Mecca, when “Al-Qaramitah” slaughtered pilgrims going around the Ka`bah. Their leader- May Allah’s curse be upon him-says addressing Allah:” You create and I cause people to vanish” , then they plucked out the Black stone and took it with them to “Hajar”.
What is going now, must stir neighbor countries to feel dangers and stop liquidation over people of Sunnah and sweeping them in the overwhelming destruction so, danger became a reality. One asks is it the materialistic life we are leading and the changes taking place over our social life that makes us prefer the occurrence of a disaster to force us to sacrifice that sacrifice needed now, or is it the feeling that we are safe, and everything is doing well that prevent us of being alert to the prospected events that we hope not to occur.
